  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground meat. Add onion, garlic, carrots, and peas. Cook until softened. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and broth. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly. Garnish with fresh herbs.

Chef’s Tip: For a cheesy twist, mix some cheddar into the mashed potatoes before baking.
